Greetings to our classmates and
friends:More than thirty years have passed
since we walked down the aisle at Palmer Auditorium into the adult
world. We have dedicated this web site to you, our fellow
classmates, and our friends and families.
Our class was the 13th to graduate from Waterford High, so it was both
ironic and appropriate that our graduation day occurred on Friday the
13th. It was said the word "apathy" could best
describe our class, but it goes much deeper than that. When
we walked down that aisle, we walked into a world at war - an unpopular
war, a war that tore this country apart. That war was more than just
Viet Nam, it was also the Cold War against communism. It was that war that
I fought, serving for nine years in the U.S. Navy's Submarine Force.
Some of our classmates served in the Armed Forces, and even fought in Viet Nam.
Some went to college, to Canada, some went to work at
Electric Boat, some to other jobs. 1969 was a time of change, of
Woodstock and men on the moon. Of drugs and the Pill. And looking
back, it was the very beginning of the Information Age. Guess typing
class wasn't so silly after all...
Whatever our life's experiences have been, we hope you will share them
with our class, and the world. We did and continue to make a
difference. Now it's time to be proud of it! Please tell us
of your life, your accomplishments, and your families.
So welcome to your web site. Enjoy!
